SPECIALTY PACKAGES - WEDDING REQUIREMENTS
The civil wedding is celebrated in Spanish. Please
be advised that Secrets Capri Riviera Cancun does
not celebrate denominational weddings.
Documentation required by Mexican Law in order to
have a civil wedding ceremony in Mexico:
Bride and Groom:
-Name, age, nationality, home address, occupation,
salary, education and parent's information
-Valid passport. This is essential, otherwise the
wedding cannot be performed.
-Copy of a photo ID such as a valid driver's license.
-Original blood test, no older than 15 days from the
wedding day. Original blood test results complete or
each one including HIV, RPR (sexually transmitted
diseases and blood type. These analysis must be done no
more than 14 days before the wedding date and must be
done in Mexico. The results will take 24 hours to be
ready. The couple can get them at the hotel (extra
charge).
-Divorce certificate (should this be the case).*
-FMT Tourist card. This document will be provided by the
airline and stamped by the Immigration Officer upon
arrival in Mexico.
Requirements for the 4 Witnesses (if foreign)
-Name, age nationality, home address, occupation, copy of
valid passport and FMT Tourist Card. This document will be
provided by the airline and stamped by the Immigration
Officer upon arrival in Mexico.
Note:
-The hotel must deliver all the original documents at least
4 working days prior to the wedding date in order to make
the arrangements with the judge.
-At the end of the ceremony, the judge provides a marriage
certificate which is only valid in Mexico. Should the
couple want to make it valid internationally, the judge
will legalize it by sending the document to Chetumal to
Apostille by the Secretary of State. This arrangement has
a charge and the process may take up to 12 weeks. Once
the document is apostilled, the hotel can send it to the
couple's home.
*These documents must be legalized and translated into
Spanish by the Mexican Consulate before arriving to Mexico
(this service is also available in this area). It is the
couple's responsibility to have all the documentation
before the wedding date as required. Being the judge is an
outside service provided by the Mexican Government, the
hotel cannot be responsible for any delay or alteration due
to this institution.
